Customs Clearance and SPMT Once at the destination port, Fagioli's professional clearance team begins the completion of the clearance procedures. By ensuring that the required documentation is filled out and correct ahead of time and sent electronically well in advance of the cargo's arrival, time spent on customs and duties is minimized. With customs clearance completed, transport to the erection site can begin. Specialized heavy lift vehicles and equipment, both self-geared and roll-on/roll-off (RO/RO), are pre-arranged and closely monitored, as it is important that the continuing voyage continue uninterrupted. Besides the standard heavy lift equipment used for river, road and rail, Fagioli introduces the next generation in self-propelled modular transporters (SPMT). Based on two types of transport units having 4 (MPKE 120.8.4) or 6 (MPKE 180.12.4) axle lines, on propulsion units having engines of variable power, and on cabins for the operators, each of these units is totally modular and can be coupled together to realize many different transport configurations. Every unit is CE and TUV certified and is provided with identification that allows them to be driven on public roads, and the unique qualities and flexibility of the SPMT, combined with our own lifting equipment, gives us the opportunity to perform works not possible in the past. In addition, Fagioli designs and utilizes countless special and advanced accessory equipment for heavy haulage (beams, schnabels, etc.) to carry transformers, reactor sections, generators, etc. Furthermore, Fagioli is in a position to adapt all of the above listed heavy haulage vehicles to any kind of apparatus or machinery through the construction of made-to-order equipment which is connectable to the proper trailers.
